Llengua paleosiberiana parlada pels txuktxis, els quals viuen principalment a l'ókrug de Txukotka (Rússia). Es divideix en els dialectes uelen (est), txaun (nord), enmylin, nunligran i khotyr. El mot "txuktxi" significa "ric en rens".
