El nynorn és un intent de fer reviure la llengua norn, una antiga llengua escandinava occidental descendent de l'antic nòrdic, parlada principalment a les illes Shetland i Òrcades fins al segle XVIII. 

Nynorn is an attempt to revive the Norn language, an extinct North Germanic language that was spoken in the Orkney and Shetland islands until the 18th century.
